The Poplarville Chamber of Commerce is in the beginning stages of organizing its second annual Movies on Main event. But in order to hold the community show, the Chamber needs sponsors.

Movies on Main offers Poplarville residents the chance to see a movie outdoors at the green space on Main Street.

Glenn Bolin, president of the Poplarville Chamber, said the Chamber is required to purchase a license in order to show the movie to the public. That is why the Chamber needs sponsors to help cover the cost.

According to a release from the Poplarville Chamber, sponsorships are needed to cover the cost of printing flyers and additional expenses related to the event.

The Chamber hopes to find at least six sponsors willing to help fund the event, the release states.

The aim of the Poplarville Chamber is to attract as many people from the community to attend the fun-filled event.

Bolin said the event will be held once they get enough sponsors.

The event is free and open to public and sponsorship cost is $50.
