Ivory Lee Clark Rochel

Our beloved Ivory Lee Clark Rochel was born on July 8, 1925 to the late Mrs. Hilda and Mr. Elmer Clark. She departed this life on October 29, 2017, where she was surrounded by her loving family.
Ivory Lee Clark Rochel was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Bernell Rochel and children: Jeanette and James Jr. Two died at birth.
Ivory Lee Clark Rochel accepted Christ at an early age in Heidelberg, Mississippi. She attended school in Savoy, Mississippi. Ivory joined Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Woulard and was a member of the choir.
Ivory Lee Clark Rochel later moved to Las Vegas and joined a church there. After many years she relocated back to Picayune, Mississippi reuniting with Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Delbert Hall.
Ivory Lee Clark Rochel leaves to cherish her loving memories, her adopted daughter, Marilyn Sledge of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; two nieces: Mary Charleston of Jackson, Mississippi and Juanita Bethley of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; two great nephews: Louis Bethley, Jr. and Donald Bethley both of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; one special great nephew, Michael Bethley of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; two great nieces, Cheryl Bethley of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and Dorothy Hull of Meridian, Mississippi.
Also, four first cousins: Helen Thomas, Bessie Hopkins, Louise Chancer all of Meridian, Mississippi; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Sat., Nov. 11, 2017 at 11 a.m., visitation at 10 a.m., in Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church.
Rev. Henry Marshall will officiate at the service. Burial in New Prospect Baptist Cemetery in Meridian, Mississippi under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
