An investigation by the Diamondhead Police Department and Hancock County Narcotics Division involving an alleged prostitution operation led to two arrests.
Hancock County Sheriff’s Narcotics Commander Jeremy Skinner said the Diamondhead Police Department was anonymously notified of “suspicious activity” at the Diamondhead Inn and Suites Hotel at about 11 p.m. Saturday.
Upon arrival, Skinner said officers came in contact with 26-year-old Rachel Reilly, of Carriere, who informed the officers that she was being “prostituted out” by Christopher Nelson, 21, of Gulfport.
Inspection of the hotel room by the officers found what appeared to be marijuana and methamphetamine in the hotel room.
After speaking with Nelson, Skinner said he admitted to being a pimp and that Reilly was “his girl,” Skinner said.
Nelson was arrested for one felony count of promoting prostitution and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
Reilly was not arrested for prostitution, but was arrested for possession of a controlled substance according to jail records.
