Memorial Services for Daniel Gilmer Penton, age 87, of Picayune, Mississippi, who passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017, will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 30, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. Bro. Jerry Hubbard will officiate the service.

A native of McNeill, he was a retired Sergeant First Class with the United States Army, and served in Vietnam. Gilmer was a loving husband, uncle, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman R. Penton and Ella Spiers Penton; and six brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Lotte Mattold Penton; and several nieces and nephews.
