Highland Community Hospital has a new administrator lined up to replace Mark Stockstill, who vacated the position earlier this month.
Stockstill became administrator of the hospital when it opened its doors in 2012, previous coverage states.
Bryan Maxie has been hired to take over as administrator, Forrest General Media Coordinator Amanda Kirby said. She declined to elaborate on his background with the hospital or about his professional career.
According to the Mississippi Rural Hospital Alliance website, Maxie was the chief executive officer for Marion General Hospital, which is also owned by Forrest General.
Kirby declined to comment on the terms of Stockstill’s resignation citing personnel policies. Stockstill also declined to comment on the matter.
Highland Community Hospital was purchased by Forrest General Hospital in 2006 after ownership changed as well as its name.
After the purchase, the name changed from Crosby Memorial Hospital to Highland Community Hospital.
The facility, where it stands now on Highland Parkway, was completed in 2012, according to previous coverage.
More information regarding the new administrator will be published when Maxie begins his employment at the hospital.
