Investigators with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department are working a case in relation to a home invasion and robbery that was allegedly perpetrated by three suspects.
Chief Investigator Marc Ogden said the department was alerted the incident occurred Tuesday afternoon at 2:39 when the resident of a home on Seal Crest Drive near Picayune reported it. Through a preliminary investigation a person of interest was identified as 32-year-old Justin Magee.
Ogden said that Magee was picked up by the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department at 2 p.m. Wednesday, but declined to elaborate about how the suspect was located, saying the case was still under investigation.
The case began with a call from the female victim, who said three black men entered her home and robbed her at gunpoint of an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the area.
She was able to identify one of the suspects as Magee, who was described as a long time family friend, Ogden said. However, the other two suspects remain unidentified at press time. Ogden said investigators are still working to identify those suspects.
