District 108 special election held today

The special election to fill the Mississippi House of Representatives District 108 seat, formerly occupied by Mark Formby, is today, July 25.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Residents of District 108 are asked to cast their vote for one of three candidates in the race, Jerry W. Frazier, Tavish Cordero Kelly or Stacey Hobgood Wilkes.
District 108 encompasses most of the incorporated areas of Picayune, Nicholson, Carriere and areas along Highway 43 North toward Bogalusa.
Voting precincts in this election, according to the Pearl River County Circuit Clerk’s office are:
-Picayune Beat 1, Eastside annex
-Picayune Beat 1, Southside
-Picayune Beat 2
-Henleyfield Beat 2
-Ceasar Beat 3
-Pine Grove Beat 4
-Nicholson Beat 4
-Salem Beat 4
-Carriere Beat 5
-Sycamore Beat 5
-Anchor Lake/West Union Beat 5
-Hide-A-Way Lake/North Hill Beat 5
-Picayune Beat 5

Residents can confirm their voting district by looking under the third column, “REP” on their Mississippi Voter Registration Card.

If necessary, a runoff will be held on August 15.
