Funeral services for Curtis Maxwell Thaxton, 67, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017, will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Bro. Cedric Lumpkin will officiate the service.
A native of Petal, Miss., he was a teacher, coach, and National Guardsman as well as a member of Union Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Conway Thaxton and Laura Gaines Morgan Thaxton Holcomb; sister, Gwendolyn Faye Burge.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 46 wonderful years, Linda Dickerson Thaxton; daughter, Anna Michele Seal and husband Brad; sons, Anthony Wayne Thaxton and wife Amy, Robert Earl Thaxton; grandchildren, Bryant Curtis Thaxton and Sydney Elizabeth Thaxton.
