The Poplarville School Board called an emergency meeting Monday night to swear in a new school resource officer.
The Board swore in Rossi Creel as the new Poplarville School District’s school resource officer so that he could begin work the following morning, Poplarville Superintendent Carl Merritt said.
The Board also discussed a student issue, but Merritt declined to elaborate further.
Notice of the meeting was posted at the school district office as advised by the Board’s attorney, Merritt said.
The Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. on Feb. 13.
