Mass of Christian Burial for Nicholas “Nick” Gonzales, Jr., 70, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017, will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Carriere Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Joseph Trinh will officiate the service.
A native of Tilden, Texas, he was the owner of Gonzales Construction, LLC. and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Nick was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. His passions were team roping, which he enjoyed with his family and friends, hunting and family time. Nick did not only have life, but he lived it to the fullest. To describe Nick best, “May the Work I’ve Done Speak for Me”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas Gonzales, Sr. and Polita Moya Gonzales; his brother, Cosme Gonzales; and his sisters, Casey Arroyo, Maria Blocker and Dora Snyder.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Julie Lalonde Gonzales; his children, Nick Gonzales, III, Ryan Landry, Jr., Katie (Adam Perronne) Landry, Janie (Jimmy) Osborne, and Rebecca (Chuck Finch) Gonzales; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter; Nick and Julie are the caregivers of David Lacour, III; his brothers and sisters, Ruben Gonzales, Gloria Stein, Refugio “Cuco” (Soyla) Gonzales, Sr., and Ida Ramos; and numerous nieces and nephews.
