Two charged with murder in Louisiana

Two suspects were arrested outside the city limits of Picayune Monday on murder charges out of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.
With the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force, the suspects were located in northern Hancock County at a relative’s home, a release from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office states.
Michael Dick, 31 of 735 Whitney Ave., Terrytown, and Amber Wilson, 31, were arrested on warrants for second-degree murder, the release states.
According to the release, Wilson is “believed to be from Picayune.”
The suspects are currently being held in the Hancock County Jail, according to jail records.
JPSO issued the arrest warrants after an investigation determined that Dick allegedly shot and killed Raymond Laurent, 60, of 735 Whitney Ave., Terrytown, in his home on Sept. 10.
Wilson is believed to have been at the scene during the shooting, Col. John Fortunato, public information officer for JPSO, said.
The suspects will be transported to Jefferson Parish and charged with second-degree murder pending trial, the release states.
