John Wayne Ball

September 2, 2015, John Wayne Ball joined numerous loved ones in heaven. Born August 20, 1946, he was the oldest child of the late O.W. “Dub” and Juanita Clinton Ball of Purvis. After graduating from Purvis High School in 1965, he was the owner of Foxworth Grist Mill and a 20 year employee of the Marion County School District. He was an avid gardner and faithful member of Enon Faithway Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Enon Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia. Interment will be in  Enon Cemetery in Columbia. Bro. Clyde Cooper, Bro. Trent Tolar, and Rev. Daniel Preston will officiate the services. Visitation was held Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 44 years, Esther “Connie” (Bond), Columbia; two Daughters, Melissa Ball Tolar (Trent), Columbia, Mary Laurie Morrow (Randy), Columbia; one Son, Phillip W. Ball (Nevada), Columbia; one Brother, Larry Ball (Virginia), Purvis; two Sisters, Frances Ball, Purvis, Reba Anderson (Scottie), Poplarville, nine Grandchildren, Stephen Ball, Andrew Ball, Natalie Ball, Blaine Morrow, Cooper Morrow, Parker Morrow, Emmy Tolar, Abby Tolar, Maddy Tolar, all of Columbia; 10 Nieces and Nephews; 5 Aunts & Uncles.
Pallbearers will be: Stephen Ball, Andrew Ball, Blaine Morrow, Ricky Broom, Nathan Broom, Greg Robbins, Brad Anderson, Andy Robbins, Morris Boyd. Honarary Pallbearers wil be: Will Simmons, Ronnie Tolar, James Walters.
