Picayune police are looking for two suspects who allegedly robbed a local gas station on Monday night.
On June 22 at 8:54 p.m., officers were dispatched to a local quick stop in reference to a robbery, Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri said.
When officers arrived, the suspects had already fled. The gas station’s clerk told officers two black males entered the store while she was placing drinks in a cooler, Magri said.
At that time, one of the suspects allegedly approached her and tied her hands together behind her back. The suspects then ordered her to give them money, Magri said.
When the clerk walked over to the front counter to turn over the money, one of the suspects placed an unknown object into her back and threw her on the floor, Magri said.
Once the suspects grabbed an underdetermined amount of money and numerous packs of cigarettes, it is believed they fled in a vehicle, Magri said.
Detectives are actively investigating the case, Magri said.
If anyone has any information regarding the identities of the suspects, they are asked to contact the Picayune Police Department at 601-798-7411 or Crime Stoppers at 601 799- 2583 (CLUE).
Additional details on the suspects are being compiled as investigators secure the surveillance video.
