Tuesday morning, Pearl River County employee Paul Hancock was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 49 when the county owned truck he was driving blew a tire and flipped, Pearl River County Administrator Adrain Lumpkin said.
County Road Manager Charlie Schielder said Hancock was driving back from Warren Paving in Gulfport.
“He was transporting limestone back for our road projects,” Sheidler said.
Lumpkin said Hancock was taken to Stone County Hospital where he was checked and released. Hancock was wearing his seatbelt when the accident occurred and suffered minor injuries, Lumpkin said.
Schielder said the truck, which is estimated to be worth about $80,000, will likely be totaled.
