Highland Community Hospital is offering registered nurses and recent graduates the opportunity to tour their facility and apply for a job in the healthcare industry.
The hospital is hosting their first open house for registered nurses on April 11 from 9 a.m. to noon, Senior Healthcare Recruiter Cathy Crenshaw said.
“We’re doing this to introduce RNs to our hospital as well as new graduates who’re coming out and looking for opportunities and positions here,” Crenshaw said. “Especially for those who have not had the ability to look at our new facility.”
The open house will allow nurses the opportunity to tour the nursing units inside the facility and speak to recruiters and hospital directors about job opportunities and benefits at Highland, Crenshaw said.
“The idea came from us here at human resources,” Crenshaw said. “We just thought we have such a beautiful facility and it’s an exciting time in healthcare and we want the opportunity to bring people in.”
The event is open to the public.
“We’d like to see nurses from all different types of specialty areas like emergency, surgical and ob-gyn,” Crenshaw said.
