Funeral Services for Mark Emerson Toler, age 53 of Diamondhead, MS, formerly of Picayune, MS, who passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015, will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church of Picayune.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Picayune. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. Dr. Raymon Leake will officiate the service, assisted by Dr. Owen Nease.
A native of Purvis, MS, he was a Real Estate Broker and a member of First Baptist Church of Bay St. Louis and a previous member of First Baptist Church of Picayune. Mark served as Deacon at First Baptist Church of Picayune. He was also a member of the National Association of Realtors. Mark battled ALS for 5 years and showed his strength in wanting to live and his faith in God. He fought a good fight and stayed the course.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Lyle Toler, Sr.; and his grandparents, Verlee Bond McKellar, and Hazel Toler.
Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Bond Pittman; his wife, Stephanie Toler, his son, Jonathan Toler and wife Kristen; his grandson, James Emerson Toler; his brother, William “Bill” Lyle Toler, Jr. and wife Paula Diane; his sisters, Melanie Dean Holbrook and husband Ted, Missy Toler, and Julie Kennison and husband Dewayne; his aunt, Josie Toler Bilbo, and cousin, Diana Jo Bilbo, uncle, John McKellar and wife Carol, uncle, Lane McKellar and wife Debbie, aunt, Melrose French and husband George; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his little companion, Girl Scout Toler.
