A number of churches in the city of Poplarville are commemorating the Christmas holiday with special services on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

First Baptist Church of Poplarville, located at 203 South Main St., will host their annual candlelight Lord’s Supper service at 5:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Families and visitors are invited to attend. There will be lots of music and a number of different solo singers, as well as the traditional candlelight singing of “Silent Night”. There will also be a short skit at the beginning of the event.

First United Methodist Church, located at 708 Julia St. in Poplarville, is holding a Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m.

St. Joseph Catholic Church will be hosting a Christmas Vigil Mass at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve. They will also have a Christmas Day Mass at 8 a.m. on Thursday. St. Joseph Catholic Church is located at 12 Bilbo Hill Drive in Poplarville.

Ruth Memorial Baptist Church, located on 809 South Julia St. in Poplarville, is inviting everyone to attend a Christmas Eve Communion Service at 5:30 p.m.
