Graveside Services for Karl Martin Woodside, 80, of Covington, La., who passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 in Covington will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at New Palestine Cemetery, Picayune, Miss.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
A native of Guthrie, Oka., Karl was a Postal Supervisor with the International Postal Service. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of SAC serving during the Korean War. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was an outgoing person who loved to make the people around him happy with his easy wit and fun-loving manner. He enjoyed photography, painting, and writing poetry. Karl
touched many lives, he never met a stranger and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin W. Woodside and Maureen Rucker Woodside.
Survivors include his wife, Ava Stockstill Woodside; two daughters, Melanie June Brasher and husband Mike, Amy Lori Fleming and husband Joseph III; three sons, Martin Karl Woodside, Robert Ray Wallace and wife Tammy, Chad Alan Wallace and wife Monica; fifteen grandchildren, William, Michael, Jonathan, Amelia, Joseph, Aiden, Kalani, Leilani, Alexon, Noah, Luciano, Astric, Marco, Soleil, and Jesse; two great grandchildren, Gabriel and Liam.
