Picayune’s T.J. House goes in search of his first Major League win tonight. But his third start for the Cleveland Indians will be much different from his first two.
Not only will House be making his home debut as a starter, but he will be facing the defending World Series champions as well.
The Indians are slated to face the Boston Red Sox tonight at Progressive Field in Cleveland. House is expected to face off with another hurler from down south, as Jake Peavy is scheduled to take the mound for the Red Sox.
Peavy is a native of Semmes, Ala., just outside of Mobile.
House is coming off an impressive start against the Chicago White Sox last week. He pitched into the seventh inning, but was not involved in the decision. He is 0-1, after taking a loss in his first start against Baltimore.
Tonight’s game is the second of three against the Red Sox for the Indians, as the series kicked off Monday night. Coming into the series, the Indians wer coming off a three game sweep of visiting Colorado.
With a man on and one out in the ninth, Michael Bourn took a fastball from reliever Adam Ottavino and launched it into the right-field seats for his first career walk-off homer Sunday the Indians beat the Rockies, 6-4.
Boston had won seven straight coming into the series, including a four game sweep of the Atlanta Braves and three straight wins over Tampa.
