Roger Dale Alford, 59, of Picayune passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011 at his residence. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Roger was a lifelong resident of Picayune and was a carpenter. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Roy Bradford Alford and Ruth Lott Alford; and a brother, Henry L. Alford.

Survivors include: three sisters, Patricia (Ray) Rogers of Crowley, La., Gloria (Cecil) Parker of Picayune and Brenda Martin of Picayune; sister-in-law, Carliss Alford of Picayune; and twelve nieces and nephews: Jeff (Melissa) Alford, Jennifer Alford, Josh Alford, Pam (Mike) Rogers, Cindy (Brian) Zeller, Angela (Osita) Obierika, Ron Rogers, Sherra (Dale) Green, Greg Parker, Garland (Pam) Parker, Phyllis (Jeff) Polk and Paula (Joey) Burnette.

Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home and Crematory.
