Police investigating the death of 30-year-old Jeremy Quesinberry who allegedly suffered an overdose of a prescription painkiller on Jan. 7 have charged three people with manslaughter.
Wiggins Police Investigator Tom Roan said the arrests came following an autopsy and investigation of a pharmaceutical drug ring.
Roan says bond was set at $100,000 each for Anna Scruggs; her brother, James Scruggs; and Jessica Pierce. They were being held Tuesday in the Stone County jail.
Roan says an autopsy showed Quesinberry suffocated from an overdose of Valium and methadone.
Four others have been arrested on charges related to the prescription drug ring. Three minor children have been placed in the care of the Mississippi Department of Human Services.
