Former Hinds County Circuit Judge Bobby DeLaughter has been ordered to report to a federal prison in McCreary, Ky., on Jan. 4 to begin serving an 18-month sentence for obstruction of justice.

DeLaughter had asked the U.S. District Court in Oxford to be placed in a federal facility in Pensacola, Fla., or Montgomery, Ala.

DeLaughter’s attorneys were notified of the prison site in a letter filed in the Oxford court on Tuesday.
