Funeral Services for Joseph Warren Lenoir, 85, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012, will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at 2 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 12 pm until 2 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
The Rev. R.T. Buckley and Dr. Keith Warden will officiate the service.
A native of Carriere, Miss., he was a former owner of J and G Auto Parts in Poplarville. Joe was a member of First Baptist Church of Picayune. He was a member of the 138th Engineer Group with the National Guard, a member of the VFW and was a former commander at the American Legion Post 73. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He really enjoyed collecting antiques and going to garage sales. He also enjoyed having coffee with his friends in the mornings, especially his neighbor and friend, Jay Fox.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, William Newton Lenoir and Lula Thompson Lenoir; and three brothers, Jesse Lenoir, George Lenoir, and Archie Lee Lenoir. Survivors include: his wife of 65 years, Gloria Taylor Lenoir; his daughter, Jan Bynum and husband Mike; his two granddaughters, Brittany Campbell and husband Ryan, and Allison Bynum and fiance Alex Riser; his sister-in-law, Carolyn Ratcliff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
