TROPICAL WEATHER —  Hurricane Igor was at 27.1N, 64.3W at 4 p.m. CDT Saturday with winds of 100 mph moving  northwest at 14 mph and expected to turn the north-northwest then north on a track that would take it over or very near Bermuda late Sunday or early Monday. Tropical Storm Julia was at 30.6N, 51.8W at 4 p.m. Saturday with winds of 50 mph and weakening as it moves west-northwest at 20 mph. An area of showers and thunderstorms southwest of the Cape Verde Islands is associated with a low pressure system and slow development is possible as the system moves west-northwest. There is a 30 percent chance the system could become a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours. Showers and thunderstorms over the western Gulf of Mexico are associated with a trough of low pressure near the coast of Texas and northeast Mexico.
