The Pearl River Central High School Blue Maskers, pictured above, won the state tittle in the one-act marathon at the recent Mississippi Thespian Conference at Southaven High School. The Blue Maskers’ entry of their fall play, “The Ugly Duckling” was selected to represent the state at the national drama festival in June. Also receiving “all superior” ratings were PRCS students Brooke Thomas for monologues and Kristin Miller for costume design, which qualifies these students to attend and perform at the national drama festival in June at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. The troupe’s sponsor is PRCHS faculty member Deborah Craig.
