Gas line ruptures in Harrison County

Officials have reopened Kiln-DeLisle Road in Harrison County following a Friday morning gas line rupture.
Harrison County Fire Marshal George Mixon said a man operating a backhoe in the area apparently ran over the line, causing it to rupture.
The high-pressure line serves the DuPont manufacturing plant in DeLisle.
Nate Pepper, a Dupont spokesman, said he wasn’t sure the line serves the plant. Even if it does, he said, the rupture did not effect operations.
No injuries were reported.
Mixon said closing the road was a must due to the potential for an explosion.
The road reopened just after 11 a.m.
