An 8-year-old girl has led the way in getting seven bicycles donated to the Salvation Army in Pascagoula.
It started when Madison Scott found out her school was having a cookie dough sale with a grand prize of a new bicycle. Madison told her mom she wanted to win the bike so she could donate it. “Jesus just put it on my heart,” Madison explained Friday afternoon while standing outside the Salvation Army in Pascagoula.
Madison sold the most cookie dough and won that first bicycle. She also collected more than $100 in donations for another bicycle and had friends and family members pledge five more bikes to contribute to her cause.
