The dismembered remains of an elderly Long Beach man have been found and Harrison County authorities have issued a warrant for a suspect’s arrest.

Deputies say remains found Tuesday and Wednesday were identified as 79-year-old Robert Barnes of Long Beach. Authorities say Barnes died of a stab wound and his body dismembered.

Deputies say a fisherman found body parts on Tuesday near a storm-battered marina at the Discovery Bay housing development at the mouth of where the Wolf River feeds into Bayou Portage near Pass Christian.

Divers found more remains Wednesday.

Sheriff Melvin Brisolara says a warrant has been issued for Robert Adam Lambert, who also uses the name Jimmy Brantley, which authorities say he used to cash a check belonging to the victim.
