Selling alcohol to minors sends 4 to court

State officials say they have found four Hattiesburg businesses that sold alcohol to underage customers during an investigation last month.
Now four employees have to go to court. They including Pablo Amaya-Cristales with La Fiesta Brava, Ray Powell with Remington Hunt Club, Jonathan Schmidt with Mug Shots and Lindsey Malbrough with Chili’s.
Amaya-Cristales, Powell and Schmidt will appear in Forrest County Justice Court. Malbrough will go to Lamar County Justice Court. Each has 30 days to contact the courts for a hearing date.
The undercover operation was conducted by the state attorney general’s alcohol and tobacco enforcement unit on Sept. 18. The operation was part of a monthlong sweep of Mississippi college towns.
