Authorities were investigating the slaying of a man found shot to death on a rural road in Harrison County.
The victim of Tuesday’s shooting has been identified as 65-year-old L.M. “Lem” Holder.
County Coroner Gary Hargrove says Holder died of gunshot wounds to the head and chest.
Authorities say Holder was building a home on Old Highway 49 just north of Mississippi Highway 53.
Sheriff Melvin Brisolara says investigators believe Holder had been working on his new home in the Lyman community and was shot during an argument in the roadway.
Brisolara says an investigation was continuing.
