In just a few weeks Ms. Mississippi Senior America 2007, Jessica Lacour, will be crowning a new queen. There is still time to enter the pageant. Any woman 60 or more years of age will be eligible to enter. This pageant allows women who have reached the “age of elegance” to step into the spotlight of grace and dignity and accept the recognition they so richly deserve.
The judges will be interviewing the contestant for five minutes. She will also appear in an evening gown and in 35 seconds express her philosophy of life.
Talent will also be judged. The contestants can share their unique talent such as singing, dancing, artists, comedians, poets, photographers, etc. The time limit for talent is 2 minutes and 45 seconds. The woman who is crowned queen will have her expenses paid at the National Pageant in Atlantic City.
Gladys Hughes, Director for the Ms. Mississippi Senior America, says that the women who enter have a good time meeting other contestants from around the state. “If you don’t enter the pageant, come and see the beautiful ladies compete,” says Hughes. Call for an entry blank at 601-799-1714 and join the fun. The pageant will be held at the Magnolia Columns at 2 p.m., August 2.
