Picayune Writer’s Group sponsored writing contest has a deadline for entries of May 31. Entries will be viewed by independent judges and then selections will be made for publication in a fall Anthology.

Submittals of 3,000 words or less and poems of one page or less are eligible. Please submit three printed copies plus a CD copy.

Fees are $10, adults; $7, students; and $5 for pre-schoolers. All entrants must have some affiliation to the local area.

The writer’s group meets at Bank Plus on Tuesday evenings from 67-8 p.m. Meetings are open to all aspiring writers.
