Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel for Leon S. Eccles, 81, of Pearl River, La., who died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, in Slidell, La.

The Rev. Matt Crider officiates at the service. Burial is in Memorial Gardens in Picayune under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

A native of Eunice, La., he was a control operator for Kaiser Aluminum, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Faith Church in Slidell.

Survivors include a son, Danny Eccles, Pearl River; two daughters, Deborah Lambert of Pearl River and Deanna Appel of Slidell; a brother, Lloyd Eccles of Pearl River; two sisters, Esther Hefner of Willard, Ohio, and Irma Self of Baton Rouge, La.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at the funeral home.
