Funeral services were held Friday, February 16, 2007 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Carriere for Everette Rome, 84, of Carriere, who died Wednesday, February 14, 2007 in Carriere.

Burial will be in the Carriere Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. William Gary Smith will officiate at the service.

A native of New Orleans, La., he was a Pipefitter and a member of First Baptist Church of Carriere.

Survivors include: his wife, Marie Rome of Carriere; one daughter, Shirley Darby of Carriere; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Thursday, February 15 from 6-10 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home.
