“Give A Living Rose” is a reality television program intended to entertain with a positive message, to inspire viewers to thank the people in their lives now, and to show the tremendous power and effects of gratitude.
Episode 3 of “Give A Living Rose” is based on Gospel Music artist Kristian Booth, formally of Picayune, and his grandmother. Kristian was given the opportunity to thank his grandmother for helping him get started in the music industry. She funded his first album and booked his concert dates for over 10 years.
She was flown to Nashville to be thanked by Kristian on national TV. After a full day of pampering, she was taken to the Loveless Cafe in Nashville for a surprise dinner party with friends and family.
Reba Rambo McGuire and her mother Dottie Rambo are a few of his grandmother’s heroes. So, Reba was there to present her with an autographed piece of sheet music that her mother Dottie had signed before her passing.
While filming this special episode, Kristian returned to Picayune, his hometown, to visit places that meant a lot to him while he was growing up, and during the time his career was in it’s infancy. Places he visited include his grandparent’s farm, and WRJW Radio station, where he worked as an announcer for more than three years.
The show is airing now on Sundays on ABC26 WGNO at 9 a.m. Kristian and his grandmother will be featured this Sunday, Feb. 8.
Future episodes feature, Olympic Gold medalist Scott Hamilton and country music superstars Vince Gill, and TG Sheppard.
