PRCSO Releases Report on October DUI Arrests

The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office (PRCSO) made multiple DUI arrests in October as deputies continued their enforcement efforts to prevent impaired driving.
On Oct. 1, deputies stopped Michael Ziegler, 61, for speeding and swerving on George Ford Road. After observing signs of alcohol impairment and obtaining a breath alcohol content (BAC) reading of 0.13, Ziegler was arrested for DUI.
In the early hours of Oct. 3, deputies responded to a trespassing complaint at a residence. Jessica Ramsay, 38, admitted to drinking White Claw beverages. Field sobriety tests and a BAC reading of 0.15 led to her arrest for DUI First and Trespassing.
Later that week, on Oct. 5, deputies arrested Mary Fisher, 37, after finding her parked vehicle near an intersection with the smell of marijuana and alcohol emanating from it. An open alcohol container and a half-smoked marijuana blunt were discovered. Fisher stumbled during field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI First.
The same night, Heather Fayard, 47, was stopped after swerving into oncoming traffic. A vehicle search revealed methamphetamine, leading to her arrest for DUI, Driving with a Suspended License, No Insurance, Careless Driving, and Introduction of a Controlled Substance into a Correctional Facility.
On Oct. 13, Torrey Thomas, 26, attempted to avoid a DUI checkpoint but was stopped. After admitting to drinking a shot and a beer, Thomas failed sobriety tests and registered a BAC of 0.11. He was charged with DUI First.
Deputies responded to a wreck on Oct. 16 involving Derek Zacher, 43, who exhibited signs of alcohol impairment. Zacher initially agreed to field sobriety tests but later declined. A BAC reading of 0.15 resulted in his arrest for DUI First and Careless Driving.
On Oct. 20, Corey Pearson, 35, was stopped after swerving over a concrete median. He initially declined a breathalyzer but later agreed after performing field sobriety tests. Pearson was arrested for DUI First and Careless Driving.
At a checkpoint on Oct. 24, deputies stopped Michael Bourgoeyne, 47, who lacked a valid driver’s license. A vehicle search uncovered methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Bourgoeyne was arrested for DUI First, Driving with a Suspended License, and Controlled Substance Violations.
Other notable incidents included the Oct. 25 arrest of James Gomillion, 20, for DUI First and Careless Driving, and the Oct. 26 arrest of Kendricous Breland, 30, for DUI First, following the discovery of marijuana and THC products in his vehicle.
On Oct. 31, deputies investigated a single-vehicle crash involving Rickey Graham, 63. After locating him at his residence and observing signs of impairment, deputies arrested him for DUI, Fourth Offense, Driving with a Suspended License, No Insurance, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
