Charles Donald Moore, 78, of Picayune, Miss., passed away comfortably at home on Sept. 6, 2024. He was born on June 22, 1946 in Rome, Ga. to John and Agnes Moore.

Don was retired from his 30 year career from Lockheed Martin and enjoyed his retirement years with his family, while keeping in touch with work buddies throughout the years. He was known for his hard work and loyalty receiving recognition and awards for his outstanding dedication and service. Don enjoyed the outdoors and road trips with his wife. He loved sharing stories while creating significant memories and life lessons. His sense of  humor brought fun and happiness to every occasion and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

Donald was a loving husband to his childhood sweetheart, Linda Segreto Moore for 57 years. He was a devoted daddy to his two daughters, Jeanelle and Andrea. He was also a proud Pawpaw to his five grandchildren, Nicholas (Kylie), Keaton (Kailey), Jamie (Joshua), Jolene, and Jaylynn, and great-Pawpaw to Levi, Luke, and Nicholas. Donnie was the loving brother to Dianne Moore and brother-in-law, Bernard Ray. He was also an uncle and great-uncle to several nieces and nephews, Ryan (Jenna and Little Ryan), Garry Jr., andChristina (Little JJ).

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Agnes Moore; his sister, Linda Ray; his nephew, Randy Ray, and his brother, Garry Moore Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, 10 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, 401 West Canal Street Picayune, MS 39466.

Visitation will begin on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and also on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 from 9 a.m. until service time at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

In lieu of privacy for the family, there will not be a reception following the burial.
