A native of Picayune, Miss., she was a custodian at Nicholson Elementary for over four decades and Millbrook Country Club for over two decades. She also delivered the Picayune Item for over three decades. Neda was member of Cedar Grove Landmark Missionary Baptist Church where she played both the organ and piano for over 60 years. Neda was loyal in her support of the other Landmark Missionary Baptist Churches in the area and attended revivals whenever she could. To say she was beloved and a hard worker is insufficient. Neda was well-known and she knew everyone. She was a beacon of positivity and the epitome of a virtuous woman. She never had a bad word for anyone. She was always asking if you needed anything and genuinely wanted to help anyone and everyone she could. Anyone who was privileged enough to know her, knows words could never describe what an amazing person she was. She invited everyone to attend church with her. Her one goal in life was to lead others to the Lord and to live a life where others could see Christ in her and want what she had, Salvation, through the Saving Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. “She stretched out her hands to the poor; yea, she reached forth her hands to the needy.” Proverbs 31:20

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Hann Jr.; parents, Barney Arthur Mitchell and Esther Pearl Thigpen Mitchell, and sister, Barney Lee Mitchell.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, James W. (Leah Stebel) Hann; grandson, Cody (Lindsey) Hann; great-grandsons, Dylan Hann and Jace Hann; grandsons, Brayden Roy Stebel and Richard Eugene Dale IV; nephews, Mike (Tracie) Mitchell and Randy (Ronda) Mitchell; niece, Stephanie (Marty) Edge; great-nieces and great-nephews, Caysi Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell, Caytlin Mitchell, Ryan Mitchell, Riley Mitchell, Morgan (Quinn) Dawsey, Haley (Chad) Harrison, Madison Edge, and Reese Edge; great-great-nephew and great-great-niece, Archer Harrison and Emma Dawsey.

In lieu of flowers the family requests you continue the legacy set forth by Neda and make contributions to Cedar Grove Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 116 Elaine Street, Picayune, MS 39466 c/o John Miller.
