I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 2 Timothy 4:7.
A walk-through visitation will be held today, Tuesday, April 28, 2020 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Home. Thomas Blanks, 60, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Forrest General Hospital. He was born to Leena Walker and Wade Blanks on February 12, 1960 in Texas. He was loved by all of his loved ones and will be missed deeply.
Thomas was known for his vivant personality, his love for fishing, being outdoors, and the love that he had for his family. For many years, he worked for the City of Picayune, street department as a supervisor and then went on to be a truck driver. No matter how heavy the workload was, he made sure he made time for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leena Walker and Wade Blanks; two brothers, Rogerdale and Robert Blanks. Thomas was survived by his lovely wife, Mary Blanks; his stepchildren that he loved as his own, Amy Ducre, Meshunda Ducre, Allison Ducre, and Edgar (Erica) Ducre. He was a loving grandfather to his grandkids: Carlee Ducre, Jasmine (Cliffvon) McCullough, Lataria Ducre, D’Asialyn Goods, Tekil Ducre, Keshunda Ducre, Onterrio Ducre, and Kelvin Gregory; he was an even better great-grandfather to his 13 great-grandkids. He is the dear brother to his surviving siblings, Donald (Sandra) Blanks, Glenn Blanks, Nancy Blanks, Doris Blanks and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and Brown’s Funeral Home staff.
Due to current restriction on social gathering, a celebration of Thomas’s life will be held at a later date. Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
