As of Sunday at 6 p.m., the Mississippi State Department of Health reports that there are 249 cases of COVID-19 in the state, and one death.
Within Pearl River County, 12 cases have been reported.
Other counties with double digit cases include, DeSoto with 23, Forrest with 11, Harrison with 21, Hinds with 24 and Madison with 11.
According to MSDH, 66 percent of the cases are in female residents and 24 percent of the total cases have been hospitalized.
Of the total cases, three were in people younger than 18, 24 were in people aged 18 to 29, 13 were in people aged 30-39, 27 were in people aged 40-49, 18 were in people aged 50-59, 26 were in people aged 60-69 and 26 were in people older than 70.
Statewide, 1,392 people have been tested for COVID-19, with only 249 testing positive.
