Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 59 St. John Road, Brooklyn, MS.

Johnny “Watts” Ramsey was born July 21, 1953 in Brooklyn, MS to the late Thomas and Ossie Fairley Ramsey.  He departed this life on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital of Hattiesburg, MS.

Johnny was baptized at an early age and became a member of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Janice, MS.  Johnny attended and graduated from Beaumont Attendance Center in Brooklyn, MS, where during his era he proved himself academically.  Johnny had a wonderful and blessed spirit that captured the hearts of all who met him.  He loved his family and friends and shared nurturing relationships with his nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Johnny was one of ten children.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Joseph Ramsey; and two sisters, Bobby Jean and Henrietta Ramsey.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Marcia Ramsey of Poplarville, MS; three sons, Tyrone Ramsey of Los Angeles, CA, Frank and Forrest Henry of Poplarville, MS; one daughter, Sara Henry of Poplarville, MS; siblings, Ruby Beatty (Walter) of Gardena, CA, Thomas Ramsey of Gulfport, MS, James Ramsey (Mary), Paulette Ramsey of Lynwood, CA, Earnest Ramsey of Lynwood, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will one hour prior to service time.  Interment will be in the St. John Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
