Funeral service will be held Sat. Nov. 23, 2019, at 11 am in Triumph Missionary Baptist Church for George Mixon, age 68, of Poplarville, MS, who died Nov. 13, 2019, in Poplarville, MS. 

Dr. Rev. Laverne Cook will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Rose Park Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home. 

A native of Poplarville,  he was a member of Triumph Missionary Baptist Church. 

Survivors include 3 step-children, Larolyn (Stephen) Willis of Atlanta, GA, Tarsha Lee of New Orleans, LA, and Larry Lee of Los Angeles, CA; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, John (Annie) Mixon of Las Vegas NV; 4 sisters, Susanne Lee, Oueen Ella Mixon, and Minnie Harmon, all of Poplarville, MS, and Jerri Rankin of Richmond, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by mother Inez Mixon; brother, David Mixon; 3 aunts, Leola Causey, Minnie Lee Jordan, and Cassie Harmon; and grandparents, John and Queenie Harmon.

Visitation will be held Sat. Nov. 23, 2019 from 10 am until 11 am in Triumph Missionary Baptist Church, under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
