Wendy’s in Picayune is collecting school supplies to donate to the Picayune School District through August 4. The Back to School Drive began Monday.
As part of the drive, Wendy’s is collecting notebooks, glue sticks, crayons, markers, scissors, No. 2 pencils and notebook paper. People who donate school supplies can receive one free small frosty per day.
A Wendy’s in Jackson began collecting school supplies after a local school board approached them with a request for help, said Mike Johnson, Director of Marketing for Carlisle LLC, the parent company of Wendy’s in Picayune. The company is a franchisee with 150 Wendy’s in the South and decided to conduct school supply drives at roughly 75 percent of their restaurants, Johnson said.
