Picayune Police Officers are looking for a person or persons suspected to be involved in a drive by shooting that occurred Thursday morning.

According to a departmental release, officers were sent to the area where South Beech Street and Williamsburg Road intersect in reference to an alleged drive by shooting.

An investigation into the claim determined that at about 6  a.m. the victim was at the stop sign of the intersection when an occupant of the vehicle in front of him, described as a white four door Chevrolet sedan, fired shots at his vehicle, the release states.  After shooting at the vehicle several times, the suspect vehicle sped away from the scene. No injuries were reported in the incident, the release states. The department asks anyone with information about this incident to call 601-798-7411 or provide information anonymously at 601-799-2853.
