Several suspects were arrested by the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department in relation to separate cases that involved months of investigation and a residential check.
Four suspects were arrested at a home located at 1016 Timberwood Lane in Picayune on Sept. 29, when four months of investigation in alleged illegal drug activity provided enough evidence to secure a search warrant, Sheriff David Allison said.
Sheriff’s Department investigators, along with representatives of the Picayune Police Department, arrived at the home at 10 p.m. and found four people inside, 23-year-old Kyle Kathmann, 23-year-old Dominick Bertucci and 24-year-old Kolby Dragon, all of that address, and 21-year-old Skylar Davis of 3 Joyce Lumpkin Lane.
During the search, distribution amounts of methamphetamine, marijuana, Xanax and some MDMA, otherwise known as ecstasy, firearms, digital scales, baggies along with other items used to distribute narcotics were found in the home, Allison said.
A handbook provided to new members of a gang called the Latin Kings outlining the rules and regulations was also found in the home, Allison said.
During the search, officers noticed a bag of Xanax fall out of her shirt, allegedly because she tried to hide it in her bra.
Allison said that Kathmann was arrested for trafficking of MDMA, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm. The Sheriff said Kathmann was out on bond at the time of his arrest for a previous offense of sale of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a stolen firearm.
Dragon was arrested for possession of Xanax with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Allison said that a hold was placed on Dragon for probation violation.
Bertucci was arrested for two counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and for probation violation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections, Allison said.
Davis was arrested for possession of Xanax with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine, tampering with physical evidence, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct failure to comply, Allison said.
