Through partnerships with local government departments, businesses, and community leaders, the youth council utilized resources and expertise to implement various projects. These projects included community clean-ups, a food blessing box, food drives, and designing amenities for a dog park. The council also started events such as “Teen Halloween” and “Christmas at City Hall,” addressing community needs.

The council’s efforts have improved the city’s aesthetics and livability while addressing issues like hunger relief. Their collaborative approach has maximized efficiency and minimized costs by using volunteer labor, securing donations, and leveraging existing resources.

The Youth Council’s approach to community engagement has contributed to better quality of service and livability in Picayune, enhancing the overall well-being of residents.
