Funeral Services for Fredna Walters Smith Whitfield, age 92, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024, will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 10:00 am at Mill Creek Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Mill Creek Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Union Baptist Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Rusty Kuhn and Bro. Arthur Lee will officiate the service.

A native of Seminary, MS, she was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, where she served as Church Clerk, Treasurer, and Sunday School Teacher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie N Walters and Mary Jane Strickland Walters; her husband, Foster Ray Smith; her husband, Samuel Whitfield; her sisters, Emmagene Hillman and Bernice Holston; and her brother, Adrian Walters.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Aaron Arthur Smith and daughter-in-law, Myra Lynn Davis Smith; her son, Ronald R Smith; her 3 grandchildren, David (Christy) Aaron Smith, Eddie Miles Louis Smith, and Angela (Trenton) Marie Smith Powell; her 5 great grandchildren, Emma, Tristan, Anna, Roddy, and Sarah; her great great grandchild due in May, Harvey; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
