John Harberson

Johnnie Lou Lumpkin and Michael Tillman Harberson welcomed John Eric Harberson into their family on January 20th, 1970, at Crosby Memorial Hospital. He spent a childhood excelling at every sport he played, adventuring with his brothers Michael Yancy and Glen Wesley Harberson, and making memories with countless cousins and friends. He worked best with his hands and utilizing his strength. His green thumb was as well-known as his brown hound-dog eyes that never saw the world in anger. Instead “Weiner” saw the world with a light heart and through a lens of kindness.
On December 7th, 2023, at 3:07 PM he fell victim to the injuries sustained from a collision with a motor vehicle while in the care of University Medical Center of New Orleans.
He is survived by his daughter Morgan Christine Harberson, parents Johnnie Lou Lumpkin and Michael T. Harberson, brothers Glen Wesley Harberson, Reese Harberson, and sister Brittney Harberson.
He was preceded in death by Michael Yancy Harberson. He leaves behind many family members and friends mourning the loss of his easy smile and sincere heart.
