A Celebration of Life for Bruce Porter Jones, Sr., age 83, of Poplarville, MS, who passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020, will be held at a date to be determined.
Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Picayune, MS, he served in the U.S. Army and was a retired mechanic for over 30 years working offshore. Bruce was a member of the Picayune Bass Club for over 40 years, and was a member of Union Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

Bruce was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mordece Jones and Bonnie Jean Williams Jones; his wife, Myrtie Mitchell Jones; his son, Kenny Jones; his sister, Betty Sue Salloum; and his brother, Larry Jones.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Anissa Lynn (Brian) Jones-Davis, Bruce Porter Jones, Jr., Bruce (Susan) Taylor, and Karen Sue Forsman; 11 grandchildren, Sarah Kinney, Rebecca Walker Breland, Kalah Farnell, Ashley Jones, Audrey Jones Hawkins, Tina Taylor Thompson, Megan Taylor, Jason Rhett Underwood, John Jeffrey Forsman, Daniel Jones, Jeremy Ladner, and Abby Davis; his brother, Mike Jones; his daughter-in-law, Maria Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
