The following is a statement from the Senior Center of South Pearl River County staff.
“The Senior Center of South Pearl River County takes the health and wellbeing of our participants as our highest priority. We were advised that a visitor to the center was diagnosed as having the Covid-19 Virus at some time after their visit. The MS State Department of Health has confirmed the patient was not systematic while attending the Center,” the emailed release states.

“In an abundance of caution the center will close starting Monday, March 16th for two weeks and reopen Monday, March 30th. Please check our website or Facebook page for any updates. You can also call the office @ 601-798-9892 Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.”
